A multi stage manufacturing process is similar with the continuous process. Like the continuous process, in the multi-stage manufacturing process, raw materials sequentially go through the multi stages and become finished product. Each stage has many independent and identical machines. In shorts, The machines perform the same thing, but the outcomes are dependent on the machine. A Process path is the way the raw material comes through to be the final product. To consider the continuous manufacturing process as the multi-stage manufacturing process. Apply the concept of the process path to the continuous manufacturing data. By transforming the unbalance SSB manufacturing data to the value region path, we can adopt sequence mining method and find common regions within group. To find common regions within group, detect frequent regions from value region paths included in same group. we compare the derived regions between the compare groups, By exploring regions derived from only one side and regions contrast between two group. These regions can be the faulty or optimal regions according to the groups.
